St. Patrick's Day 2023

The Memphis Pipe Band was thrilled to take part in our city's St. Patrick's Day celebrations this year. Our band had a busy schedule, starting with leading the Cooper-Young St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was an amazing experience to see the crowds cheering and dancing along to our music. We played some traditional Irish tunes and got everyone in the festive spirit.

After the parade, we headed over to Celtic Crossing Irish Pub for a performance. The atmosphere was incredible, with people wearing green, singing along, and raising their pints of Guinness to us. It was so heartwarming to see how much the local community appreciated our music and the effort we put into our performances.

Next, we made our way to Overton Square where we played outside the restaurants and bars. It was great to see people stopping to listen to our music and even joining in with some Irish dancing. We even had the chance to lead an impromptu parade around the square with all of the kids who were out playing joining in! After that, members headed to Soul & Spirits Brewery in downtown Memphis to add some music to their 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day event.

Finally, we closed out the night by playing for a wedding at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. It was a beautiful venue, and we felt honored to be a part of the happy couple's special day. It was a lovely way to end an amazing day.

The following day, some members of the band performed at Autozone Park, where we piped out the Memphis 901 FC soccer team and played for the game's opening ceremony. It was a great opportunity to showcase our music to a wider audience, and we were thrilled to be a part of the city's sporting culture.

Overall, the experience was unforgettable. We had contact with a large group of our local community, and it was amazing to see how much our music brought people together. We felt so proud to be a part of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Memphis, and we can't wait to do it all again next year.
